We’re pleased to share the successful completion of an exciting new project at Evening Hill, home to the Wilson family & their renowned pedigree Holstein dairy farm.

A proud family-run operation, Evening Hill has long been recognised for its commitment to innovation and high standards in dairy farming. In partnership with the Wilsons, our Machinery & Engineer team at Aspatria have installed our first Green Bedding Machine – a major milestone for us and a forward-thinking step for the farm.

The system features a Save-Co Sepcom separator, a globally respected brand and market leader in separation technology. This installation introduces Green Bedding, to the farm’s daily operations. Green Bedding is produced by separating the solid and liquid fractions of slurry to create a dry, fibrous material suitable for use as cow bedding.

This sustainable bedding solution offers numerous benefits including, reduced bedding costs, enhanced cow comfort & Improving slurry management and nutrient recycling, as well as saving storage!! A conversation hot at the moment!

The Wilson family’s continued commitment to improving cow welfare and operational sustainability makes them ideal partners for this pioneering project. With the new improved Sepcom system now installed, dry matter can be produced to a higher percentage. We look forward to seeing the continued positive impacts Green Bedding will bring to Evening Hill, and we’re proud to have supported them on this journey.
